Hi all. We will be entering China from Kyrgyzstan on 31st August 2023 and then travelling for 29 days (+1 day contingency) via Tibet to the Lao border at Boten. We have about 5 motorcycles at the moment and are looking for some 4 wheelers to join us (or a couple more motorcycles). Total cost is $3,500 per vehicle (inclusive of accomodation). The Chinese agency is RideChina (picked due to their good reputation, personal recommendations and competitive price). Anybody going that way who would like to join us?
Cheers.

a little expensive. I was asking prices, since I'm still not sure which route to choose, and the same route was between €1,800 and another €2,400
previously I put information about these agencies

Was that including or excluding accommodation? I contacted a lot of Chinese agencies (and I mean A LOT!), and this was as competitive as it got with a reputable company. If you can share better quotes, I would be very interested.
Cheers.

I had a quote from Drive -China and it was much the same as RideChina's quote for the same route and duration.

Asked for some quotes for transiting China into Pakistan today (probably ain't cheap). However this would be a viable alternative.

Not cheap by any means, but the longer you stay in China the cheaper it becomes on a day by day basis. We‘ll do the transit with drive China in early July. For five vehicles it is 2.5k without accommodation.

So, with accommodation, it would be about the same as we are paying. After contacting and negotiating with many, many companies, that was about as cheap as it gets. How long are you going for and which route are you taking? Have a great trip!Christian93 wrote: ↑Sun May 28, 2023 2:07 amWe‘ll do the transit with drive China in early July.
