Turkmenistan - Early October

Post by Pequeño Saltamontes »

Hi all,

I need some feedback on how to visit Turkmenistan as a solo traveller.
My intended itinerary is to enter through Farap/Türkmenabad, then visit Merv, Gonur Depe, Ashgabat, Old Nisa, Darvaza gas craters, Konye-Urgench, and exit the country through Hojeli (heading to Nukus).

Any recommendation (guide, company, websites, etc.)? Anyone planning such a trip to share expenses?

Thanks!

Hi Adam,

I don't know yet but you're planning to start by Ashgabat and head to Uzbekistan while my plan heads in the other direction.

I'll let you know should any information be of your interest.

Cheers.
