Hi,
I'm going to do the Pamir Highway from the start of August (presently solo) and have decided to do shared taxis/paid hitching, I think I prefer the flexibility to do side treks and I am not tied to a fixed date schedule so can do things on the fly a bit (I'm not an especially slow traveller but would get more out of hiking to a 8/10 viewpoint than driving upto a 9/10 if that makes sense).
That said, if anyone has any tips for good side missions (1-2 day treks) anywhere please let me know! I did Ala Kul in Kyrgzstan in 2 days so I can push out a fair few KM's in a day.
Got a tent etc, if anyone thinks this way of doing the Pamir might suit them and fancies teaming up let me know!
