Flying with Bicycle as baggage on Air Arabia
Flying with Bicycle as baggage on Air Arabia
Hey everyone, was wondering if anyone has experienced flying Air Arabia and they managed to travel with their bicycle? Did it fit it the requirements of 160cm? Did it reach on time and was your bicycle intact? How much did you have to pay? Any information on this would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Flying with Bicycle as baggage on Air Arabia
Hi, we flew in january 2018 with Air Arabia Maroc from Agadir to Munich. We just added 30 kg of baggage and that was all for the bicycle. No problems with the 160 cm (length, width, height). We were over it, but unless you have a folding bike you never will be within the 160 cm sum, ok besides S&S coupling-bikes.
The bikes arrived with us and we cycled home from the airport on a cold winter day.

Re: Flying with Bicycle as baggage on Air Arabia
We flew with Air Arabia from Fes Saiss international airport a few days ago. Our bikes were heavily disassembled (separated fork, handlebar, pedals and even cassette), in cardboard boxes with dimensions roughly 80x60x40 cm. It was impossible to buy bike transport ahead of time, but with the standard 20 kg luggage add-on they were accepted without any hassle. I think you could go quite a bit bigger before they give you any trouble.
Double-check your carry-on allowance though, the Swissport check-in agents tried to extort 75€ from each of us.
Additionally we flew Transavia to Morocco a month prior and our bikes were also accepted no questions asked.
