When i checked in september, last dates were from april! It seems they started to update again. Better use it in parallel to calling directly the port.
As far as i understood, only profesor gul and merkury 1 take passengers.

Nobody either at the port or at the ferry company had any clue when the ferry would arrive or depart. I would be extremely surprised if this web page reflected anything close to reality.

I’m at the port right now and was chatting a bit with the representatives of the ferry company.

He asked me to post some of the new contact information from him here.

Name : Ilgar
Phone +77072929955
representative of ferries

This number works for whatsapp and for calls

If you want the latest updates you can message him!

Hi all,

We're in Aktau at the moment waiting for a ferry to Baku/Alan. We've been told one should leave the 18th from Kuryk which is good news. We are just confused about the ticket process- for anyone who has left from Kuryk, did you need to pay cash (tenge) or is card accepted? Is this the same for our car fee? Does anyone know if there is an atm in Kuryk?

We weren't given a price for our camper, can someone give us a rough idea for 4.7m? Really don't want to be stuck with hundreds of dollars worth of tenge if this isn't how we pay. Thanks!!

[EDITed] I erased this post because it was adding confusion and a post form Alfred later added some more accurate information.

Thanks so much for the help. We were told today that our campervan doesn't qualify for car rates but couldn't get any more info than that so weren't sure if anyone else who's gone in a camper could shine some light on this?
We were also told we'd pay some of the fee in Aktau and some in Baku- I'd assume this is port fees etc at the other end and the ~300 ticket on departure?

I'm not sure if this link has been posted in this (long...) thread before, but it might be a useful way of getting an independent idea of when the passenger carrying ships are likely to arrive Alat (AZ) and Kuryk (KZ) ports:

For anyone in Aktau - the number for Hamid is no longer correct. You can reach him on +87072929955

Passenger tickets are purchased from Julia in Aktau regardless of which port the ship leaves from, paid in cash tenge. Car fee paid in usd in Baku.

Seeing so many people re-iterate all the same information we already have on the website (thanks to everyone posting new info btw :-)), I thought it would be worth mentioning again that all this information is captured in a frequently updated article.

https://caravanistan.com/transport/caspian-sea-ferry/

It seems most people in this thread are completely unaware...let us know how we can make it more clear to you.

Has anyone got a phone number for the ticket office in Turkmenbashi?
