Suzuki Parts in Central Asia

Post by tegan »

Hey Guys,
I know Suzuki wasn't on the list of common cars for central asia, But does anyone have an experience trying to get suzuki parts in the stans ? I was considering buying an old Suzuki Jimny in Europe to travel around mainly in the stans.
Thanks

Hi All,
If anyone was interested in the answer.. I reached out to Ryan from Iron Horse Nomads and this was his response.

"Suzukis are well respected here in Kyrgyzstan, though not as common. Parts are ok for the Grand Vitara, but the Jimny will be a bit harder. Most things can be ordered, but can take a week or two to get here. "

Hello tegan
It has been a while, I was wondering if you had travelled yet?
I have the new 2018 Jimny and interested in doing something similar. Maybe going into Iran, Pakistan, India.
I was thinking maybe it's easier to carry a couple of critical parts (belts, spare water pump, fuses, bulbs).
How did things work out for you?

Yes carry a few spares. For Iran I am not so sure. For Pakistan and India chances are pretty good that they have the new Jimny for sale. At least two short google searches seem to show that.
