Long term parking Pakistan/India

Post by drivingthefareast »

Hi guys,

Thanks a lot to this forum for great information.

My situation, travelling from the Netherlands to Indonesia with my car. In beginning July i have a wedding back in Holland which i would like to attend.

For now everybody has to deal with the Corona things yes, I have good hope to be in in Pakistan or India by the end of June. So my question: How about custom regulation concerning how long my car can stay in Pakistan or India.

I am planning on going back to Holland in the last week of June and returning to the country i left end of July. Ofcource i dont want to rush trough these countries either so probably my car will be in one of these countries for a couple of months.

If you have any information about this topic i would be glad to hear it.

Thanks. Niek

Hi there,

No idea regarding Pakistan parking.

In India you are not allowed (entry with Carnet de passages/2018) to park your car for more than 6 month without a special permit.

Unfortunately I do not know where to get this permission.

Safe travelling!

Hi. Thanks for you reply

6 months works out for me. Not really planning on staying there longer anyway.

Cheers
