Hello guys,
I will be traveling to Kyrgyzstan on my own for two weeks around mid July and I was wondering if you could give me some tips regarding my planned itinerary. I am especially interested in multiday trekking tours around places where I could also spend the night in a yurt since I am not planning on bringing any camping equipment. So far my planned itinerary is the following:
- Arrive Bishkek, 2 night. From there day trip to Ala Archa.
- Bishkek - Karakol
- Day trip around Karakol, maybe Jeti Oguz?
- 3 multiday trek probably Ala Kul
- Karakol - Kochkor
- 2 day trek to Kol Ukok
- 2 day trip to Song Kul
- Kockkor - Bishkek
- Fly back from Bishkek.
I considered Tash Rabat but ruled it out because of how far away it is and then backtracking. Would you agree with this? Would you add or change anything?
Thanks for your tips in advance!
Javier

I could be wrong, but I think all of these places have yurts on each station so you do not need to have camping equipment. Double-check once you arrive, but I think it is good.

Re: 14 days in Kyrgyzstan mid July
It's probably feasible if you know beforehand exactly what you're doing, how you're going to do things, where to get started, etc. But if you're arriving in each place and have to figure out logistics (where the trailhead is, how to get there, whether there will be a place to stay) on the fly, then you're going to spend a good bit of time figuring this stuff out.
