Cycling Dagestan?

Hello, would like to know if anyone has ridden by bicycle around the northeast side of Caspian sea ?

Yes, I have seen a few reports like that over the years, usually crossing over from Georgia to Vladikavkaz. I cannot recall anyone crossing over from Baku to Derbent by bicycle, but seeing the cycle traffic in the past few years, there must have been at least some cycle tourists who took that route in the past few years.

I did a bike trip (or more precisely, I cycled on a recumbent trike) in Dagestan in summer 2018

I came from Georgia because flights to Vladikavkaz or Makhatchkala are not so convienient, and I like Tbilisi and georgian food. For cyclists, the main road along the shore is not really pleasant, because of traffic and dust. The mountain roads are often quiet, landscapes are nice, and people dont see many foreigners so they tend to be welcoming.

Do you have more precise questions ?

Thank you so much for your information. Didn't answer fast because?? First; didn't know how to found my page; ~( . Second; was busy trying to get out from Turkey towards Georgia. I'm a third country so have to wait. Maybe that would be my next question?? Do you have a good like for land border crossing reopening? Presently in Istanbul. Renting a small apartment and also cycling around the other areas of Turke.
