In the current midst of planning a Stan road trip for Spring 2023. I see lots of itinerary advice for taking the flight from Tashkent to reach Khiva, however due to time constraints and the desire to self drive we are wondering whether or not it is feasible to drive from Tashkent to Khiva in one day to then work our way back? We’ve done plenty of long distance driving trips but given the reviews of the road quality are we mad ? A one way rental doesn’t seem viable either (understandably) given the large drop off fee.
We drove from Khiva to Bukhara in seven hours…14 from Tashkent might be ambitious. Why dont you just go and if you get stuck on the first part or it takes longer than expected, just stop in Bukhara.
