vegan food in central asia.

any vegans with experience in finding anything edible on the road?

we are expecting to survive off dried fruit and bread.... but any stories/experiences to the contrary would be great to hear!

You cannot go to restaurants or accept invitations from people to eat at their home. You need to buy and prepare all food yourself. Depending on the season, there is more or less choice in veggies and fruits. August - October is the best time for fresh produce.

Breakfast is usually eggs, people fry in butter or sheep fat, so watch out there as well.
