Shared taxi: Tashkent to Samarkand

We used the guide price of around 10 usd per person for a shared taxi from Tashkent to Samarkand...and were willing to pay an additional 10 usd to have the taxi for ourselves (we were three). However, when our taxi driver asked us how much was the price for the shared taxi on our way to the station, he balked, said it was way to expensive and negotiated for us. We paid 160,000 sum or approx. 20 USD (exchange Feb 2017)
