Hey everyone.

How many days (minimum) are needed to go from Osh to Dushanbe via Wakhan Valley?

What should be the mode of transportation to cover in minimum days.

Thanks in advance.

As an absolutely absolute minimum I'd say 3

Day 1: Osh-Murghab
Day 2: Murghab-Khorog via Wakhan
Day 3: Khorog-Dushanbe

But in fairness it's a pretty bad way of doing the Highway, and doesn't give it justice. Ah, you'd need your own transport, e.g. a car with a driver, and Day 3 will be knackering.

Thanks for the reply.

How about 6 days from Osh to Dushanbe. Mode of transportation and where all should I stop?

That's more like it!

Many will have a lot of ideas on where to stop on the Wakhan valley; my personal favourites are, however, high altitude deserts so I'd recommend Karakul, Murghab or Alichur and perhaps do a trek around there. As a mean of transport I'd still try and arrange a car + driver if you can afford it (perhaps share with others). The views are splendid, as part of the journey as the place itself; being wedged in a car seat, view obscured by a bag of onion, is a pity.
