Re: Tajikistan Covid re-opening Q&A
Does anyone know if it is still possible to apply for visas at the moment? I understand land borders are closed but there are rumours it is possible to fly into Dushanbe. Thanks.

Re: Tajikistan Covid re-opening Q&A
From https://caravanistan.com/coronavirus/
While the IATA website says “Passengers are not allowed”, our partner in Tajikistan says the following: Airports are open. Travelers can fly in to Tajikistan through Dushanbe Airport via Turkish Airlines and flyDubai.
The main problem is obtaining an (e-)visa. We can handle the issue through our partners’ contacts – get in touch if you need one. Land borders remains closed. From Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan it is open but Tajikistan customs do not let in and out.
Likewise, the Tajikistan tourism board says: Tajikistan is open for those with a negative test result before flying. Flight availability is limited but will improve as the year continues and companies restart their normal schedules.

Re: Tajikistan Covid re-opening Q&A
The latest news, in Russian: https://asiaplustj.info/ru/news/tajikis ... ptsr-testa
Ministry of Health guy: "Tajikistan will allow foreigners to enter the country without a Covid-19 test result if they have a certificate of vaccination against coronavirus...."
But...this only applies if you had the vaccination more than one month previously. If it's within a month, then you will need the negative test results.
So, get the vaccine, wait one month, and then go to Tajikistan. Based on my experience showing medical (and other) documents to bureaucrats in Tajikistan, the fancier, more colorful and official-looking your proof-of-vaccine document, the better it is. Stamps help. Crappy laboratory print-outs that look like you wrote it yourself in a text editor are frowned upon and may delay you.
No other info was made available in the announcement (e.g., about land border). And, as usual, I only believe it after several people have confirmed it by doing it.

Good day everyone,
Just read this article:
https://asiaplustj.info/en/news/tajikis ... ual-border
I think its about the political border situation in Batken province, not about the opening of land borders for tourism . But maybe somebody here knows more.

I got the following answer from them:
"Hello, thanks for the message. Currently MFA is not issuing the online E-visas on the system. But for additional 120$ the offer from the MFA you can get the visa. We can support you linking to the right people if needed"
If you need to contact them: https://visitpamirs.com

HELP Tajikistan E-Visa US Citizen
Hello everyone, I’m a US citizen and I applied for 4 e-visas through evisa.tj on April 4 and have not heard anything back. My flight to Dushanbe, Tajikistan is set for May 18! I called the Tajikistan embassy in Washington DC and no answer, just keeps ringing. I called the minister of foreign affairs and they said the visas are “waiting assessment” and that they needed the chief to clear the visas by the government! Can anyone help me or suggest anything we can do at this point? I’m nervous and I don’t know who else to call! All expedited visa services are saying they are not able to issue visas to Tajikistan but their website doesn’t necessarily say anything about suspending travel. I know with covid we shouldn’t be traveling and there’s a do not travel warning but we have relatives that need our support right now and this is the only time available to visit them. Please help

Re: HELP Tajikistan E-Visa US Citizen
Yes, it is a common issue relating to Tajikistan Visa nowadays. As per their consulate in Islamabad, it will take more than two months to issue visas as due to covid they deliberately delaying the process.
Alternatively, you can apply for your consulate(embassy) visa at www.visa.gov.tj and you will get a quick response and after the embassy visit you can get your visa within few days. I did the same and tomorrow I will collect my passport back.

Hi Shayshay, you can get the e-visa through us. The situation is explained here: https://caravanistan.com/coronavirus/#tajikistan, where you can also find the link to apply for the visa.
