When will Azerbaijan open its borders?

Does anyone have any current info or links for the land border opening September 1st between Georgia and Az? This is the most recent one I've found....

If not, have you already booked a fly?
We are in Georgia for 3 more weeks and want to go to Kazakhstan by boat from Bakou but still don't know if it'll be possible or if we should book a flight to Bakou (or directly to KZT).

This article from the official Azerbaijan travel website says the same: land borders are closed until 1st Nov

Hey guys, as Azerbaijan Borders are closed we took a visa for Russia and are now travelling towards Kazakhstan by car. Everything worked out well and people in Russia are far away from war (in case this might bother you). Of someone needs more information, let us know, we can give you more details on that

Crossing AZ to Georgia at northern border - Balakan to Lagodekhi :
I crossed on 29. Aug. without any problem - AZ border check 10 min. - georgien side 2 min. - with some walking between - on my Swiss passport.
My Japanese travelmate crossed on 30. Aug again without trouble. Off course they can reject you . Just try and take the risk !!
