Hi all, do you think the Taskala crossing on the main road from Uralsk to Saratov will be open on Saturday the 6th of August? As that's the last day of my Russian transit visa, and it just occurred to me that some crossings might close on weekends!
I'll be on my motorbike, going from Russia into Kazakhstan.

Or, in general, do borders tend to be open on Saturdays, Sundays?

Yes should be open. In general, nothing closes on weekends.

Do you know if this border is 24 hours. We have a limited transit visa which we just got in Uralsk (yay!!!!) and we were wandering if we could cross at 12:01am. So that we can make full use of the first day of transit.
