Is the road, border or area open and accessible to foreigners? Is there danger?

Indo - Pakistanese Border

Post by simgaubert »

Hi Travelers,

Sorry if that subject has been treated before but I don't think so...
I'm currently in Bangladesh and plan to cross the border between India and Pakistan at Wagah around mid-November. I met a guy who told me that 3 months ago due to some political/militar events at the border they closed it. Does anyone have some updated informations about that ?

Thank you :D

It is open. Be advised that you need a valid visa for Pakistan, and can only get one in your country of residence.

Just crossed it today on foot from Pak to India. Nothing noteworthy to mention, it's a pretty normal border crossing.
