Still blocked. The president called protesters blocking the road for 20 days now infidels.

The situation is getting quite critical now though: no more food, money and already millions of dollars lost. A solution (violent or otherwise) should happen in the next few weeks.

The road is now unblocked, according to news outlets. Stated reason is Ramadan.

I am in Kashgar at the moment and locals say the border is open and running these days.

However bus service has not resumed yet, so the only option is taxi/hitchhike etc.
