Chinese border closures 25th Sept - 7th Ocober

I've heard that all borders into China, especially from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan will be closed during these dates due to national holidays.

However, I can not find any information about this anywhere.

Does anyone else know about this and can they confirm it is true?

I am looking for the same information, I could not find or ask it yet. It does not seem unlikely though. I will find out in Kashgar, I make sure I am early enough to cross on time.

Thanks, alrready saw that. The Dutch embassy and anglophone embassies I have sent a message weren't really helpfull.

I will check at Kashgar's PSB, they will know.

I am also mostly interested in the qulma pass, anyone who could be contsmacted on the Tajik side.

It is only in Russian and Kyrgyz language. Search for news starting with "КПП", this means border crossing and use google translate. Normally, they give a statement only a couple of days prior to closure. Also, if the border to Kyrgyzstan is closed, other border crossings will also be closed, as most of the time these crossings are closed because of Chinese holidays.

Otherwise, just google Chinese national holidays, as on these days border crossings are most likely closed.

We plan to cross the border in torugart on the 25. of september with a guide waiting for us at the chinese side of the border. And I also know from two different parties crossing on the 25. in irkeshtam. All by their own foreign vehicle.
