Applying a 2nd time for Turkmen transit visa ?
Hello there,
Looking for first-hand advice here.
Just been denied for my Turkmen transit visa ( French passport holder/Paris consulate ). No explanations.
I am in Iran. Just wondering if I could make a second attempt here ( say at the Mashhad consulate ) or if this would just be wasting my time ?
I mean do all Turkmen consulates have to refer to their MFA in Ashgabat ( in which case I would stand no chance at all ) or do they have some kind of leeway in granting them ?
Thanks for your input.
Levelo.

Transit-Visa: in and out airport the same?
Hello,
I want to see the door to hell and wonder if I can fly into Ashgabat as well as fly out while using a transit visa. Does anyone know if this is possible with a transit visa: Enter and exit the country by the same airport?
Best
Georg

Re: Turkmen visa Q&A
Hi my girlfriend and I reside in Seychelles where there is no Turkmenistan embassy. She is French and I am an Australian/US duel citizen. Our closest embassies would be in UAE (Dubai/AbuDhabi) or India (New Delhi).
Is there a way to apply for the 5 (or better yet 7) day transit visa online and, either be sent it in the mail, or possibly collect them on the way through the aforementioned cities?
Our plan is to fly into Ashgabat and leave overland Koneurgench --> Nukus (Uzbekistan).
Also is there a chance that one of us is accepted and the other rejected or would they take into consideration that we are traveling together?

Re: Turkmen visa Q&A
Yes, one person can be rejected while the other is accepted.
Please read http://caravanistan.com/visa/turkmenistan/ as asked in the first post. It has the answer to your other questions. I will repeat them here once more.
You cannot apply online. You can, however apply by mail. You can also collect visas on the way.

Re: Turkmen visa Q&A
I asked if I could get a Turkmen visa without an Iranian visa in my passport since I can get one on arrival at the land border. Steven said it is okay. But I was refused at the Turkmen embassy in Dushanbe.
Does anyone have a similar experience. Like in Tashkent. Maybe I can apply for it there without a visa.

I don't know what Steven PM'd you, but in an earlier thread (http://caravanistan.com/forum/viewtopic ... 9374#p9374) you asked about going from Iran to Uzbekistan, and in that case you wouldn't need to show an Iranian visa.belliope wrote:I asked if I could get a Turkmen visa without an Iranian visa in my passport since I can get one on arrival at the land border. I didn't know that Singaporeans could get Iranian VoA at a land border. Where did you learn this?

I looked through the page you linked but I do not see any info about applying for the visa by post. I emailed the Turkmen embassies in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and New Dheli two weeks ago and none of them have responded to me.
I just found the link to the form for the Turkmenistan visa (http://caravanistan.com/wp-content/uplo ... n-form.pdf) however it appears to be specific to the Turkmen embassy in the US (with "2207 Massachusetts Avenue NW Washington DC 20008 USA" in the header). Not sure if I would use the same form if applying to the UAE. Then there is this thread (http://caravanistan.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1934) where the guy says "you MUST NOT use the form, which is linked here in the Visa-Section!!! This one is outdated and there exist a new one (although I got a copy of the copy of the copy there)".
This has left me someone confused.
Thanks again,
Seysearles

Sorry, you're right. In that case, I don't know. Seems like no one has reported on that option yet.seysearles wrote:

Thanks for that. I will remove that form. I assumed it would be possible, but you have proven me wrong. In that case, I have no idea what you could do besides applying on the road.seysearles wrote:
