Sleeping in a car in the Valley of Castles

Postby bittersweet » Thu Jul 06, 2017 7:52 am

I am planning with my partner to rent 4x4w for weekend trip to Charyn Canion, Kolsai and Kaindy Lakes. We would love to sleep in a car at the top of the Valley of Castles. Is it possible or not really as it is National Park?

Thanks in advance!

Probably fine, you can camp (almost) anywhere in Central Asia. Charyn is a big place though, and there are nicer spots to camp. I sadly do not have a map yet of these places, but search (in Russian) and you will find!

Lots of hidden canyons, little streams, picturesque groves, and it makes sense to try and discover one for yourself rather than be stuck in the Valley of Castles with everyone else.
