What does it means - List of psychotropic substances, circulation of which is limited in Uzbekistan ? My girlfriend is using clonazepam, but she has a prescription... what does it mean for her?

I would say it is a problem. I compare it to coming in at the border of let's say Dubai, with a little bag of medicinal marihuana from California. The border guards will say: marihuana is illegal in Dubai. You reply: but I have a prescription. Would they listen?

I might be wrong on that count, though, but this is my interpretation of the law at the moment. Maybe try the embassy for more information? Sorry to not be able to be of more help.

Symbicort in Uzbekistan?

Post by Carafa »

Has anyone had any trouble brining in Symbicort to Uzbekistan? I looked through the list of banned medication but couldn't find it on there. I don't use it daily, but I use it sometimes.

Just curious as I don't really want to have to declare medications.

Thanks

I had a look, it does not contain codeine so I don't think it would be an issue to bring it in.

Thanks Steven, I had thought it was just codeine. I'm not sure then if I will have to declare it?

It just seems like less hassle on the border if I have to declare.

Thanks again for your response,

Can you explain your last comment? I did not understand your question.

I thought that when arriving anytime there was any prescription medicine, you have to declare it, regardless of whether or not it had codeine in it?

If one has an anti-depressant that's not in the list you linked, presumably there shouldn't be a problem?

For non-perspection drugs, how can the border police tell whether is it not banned? Put it in another way, how can i shpw the border police that a certain drug is not on the prohibited list?
