That takes a very long time.
I guessed you missed the previous posts saying there is a direct train between Bukhara and Urgench since 2018.

Hi Steven,
thank you for your information.
Indeed, I've found this train. Departure from Bukhara at 04.07 a.m.
Travel time from Bukhara to Urgench almoust 7 hours and than from Urgench to Khiva.
So, probably by shared taxi is still a little bit quicker.

Taxi might be theoretically quicker, but with a train you have a set schedule you can plan around, not to mention a comfortable journey. With a share taxi, on the other hand, you have to sit around and wait for the car to fill up, maybe drive around for a while picking up other passengers or hunt for petrol, bump along roads while possibly squeezed into the back seat, etc. I would take the train every time.

Thanks,

Think I'll take the taxi, travel should not be too comfy with all luxury trains :-)

So, now I’m thinking I may not have time for Sentyab. I do want to go, but may not have the time. Would the best itinerary still be to go that route even if I skip Sentyab?

Tashkent -Samarkand - Nukus (night train?) - Khiva - Bukhara -(then see if I have time for Sentyab) - Tashkent.

Yes that's a good route. There are different options but this is not a bad one.
