New Year'Eve holidays in Uzbekistan

Post by Donnie »

Hi all,
I'm' planning a tour in Uzbekistan for the New year 'Eve holidays. I'm a little worried about the climate (maybe too cold? Snow? :? ) and about the holidays closures of museums/ places of interest.

Any experience? Advice?

Thanks in advance

Not too cold, but dress up obviously. Only in Khiva would be too cold, like -20.

Regarding closures of museums: I just asked our contacts in Uzbekistan, and nobody knows. Museum workers will be notified when the museum will be closed one week in advance. That is when we will know as well.

Does not mean that things cannot still change a day in advance.

Personally, I am guessing a lot of closures on 31st of December, 1-3 January. That is how it was last year.
