Hello everyone!
Last year I visited the Bartang Valley together with my friends. Although we didn't finish the trip (Bartang River swept away a bridge), we enjoyed incredible Pamir views, met great people and visited one of the most remote places of the world. One of the highlights was to spend some time with Navshod and His Family in the village of Ypshorv:
Ypshorv Village
This was one of the best days of our trip.
Navshod just informed me, that the Family is building the guesthouse for travellers visiting the Bartang River Valley. This is how it looks currently;
The guesthouse should be finished just befoe coming season. On behalf of Navshod and His Family I would like to invite You to visit that beautiful place and by doing so You can help Navshod to finish his study at the University of Khorog.
Cheers from Poland!
Tomek

The girl looks very serious!
It looks like a great place on the map, because after this village (eastwards) you are out of civilization for a long part until you are at the main road again.
We were doubting to go through Bartang, but in the ended decided to go al the way through Wakhan. Bartang would've been great, but it would have meant turning around.

Hi Tomek,
Looks like an amazing little spot!
Are you still in touch with Navshod? We plan to attempt the Bartang on our bikes in mid May and would like to know how the river will be around this time. Do possibly have a contact?
Many thanks,

Re: New homestay in Bartang Valley
Hello Pete & Jordan
The Bartang river water levels usually rise between end of of June and beginning of August. So there is nothing to worry about it. Exceptions would remain landslide and mudslide due to the rainy season.
