can you post updates on the situation between iran and azerbaijan. I know of the conflicts , however it seems to me that they are political things. please confirm that the astara border is open or closed

On the website of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, all land borders are closed for tourists. But nice to hear some news

Foreign Government websites are usually useless. Outdated and incorrect info is more common than not.

I have just had, yesterday, the answer of the embassy of Azerbadjan in France which confirms me the closing of the lands borders. I think it's could be sur now.. But nothing for maritime borders

They are closed for two years now, regime has been extended to end of March when decision will be made as to what next. It was extended during omicron panic which fizzled to nothingburger, so fingers crosses authorities will change their minds in a month.

Does somebody know if it is possible to go to Azerbaijan going from Turkey to Georgia and then to Azerbaijan?
We would like to catch the ferry from Baku to Aktau....

Whilst the ferry is operational, it's not open for foreigners at this time.

Today I went to Azerbaijan Ambassy in Theran. Land borders are still closed
