Yes, from Moscow and St Petersburg. However, unlike for Tashkent, where it's clearly divided into "Tashkent (MFA)" and "Tashkent (Airport)", for Termez it just says "Termez"

Haven't managed to get hold of any reliable source, but looking into it, it would appear Termez has opened a visa-issuing Office for those already in the Country, similar to "Tashkent (MFA)" that also appears on the list. Kinda like how Mongolian Immigration has an Office in Ölgii besides the one in Ulanbaatar.

Still looking into it though

Uzbek visa on arrival at Tashkent airport for persons from countries w/o an Uzbek embassy?

Post by algoth »

Hello,

on the Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Affairs' website (http://www.mfa.uz/en/consular/visa/) it says that persons arriving from countries where there is no Uzbek embassy or consulate can get visas upon arrival at the Tashkent International Airport. One would apparently still need a LOI processed beforehand. Does anyone have recent experiences with this option, or can someone confirm if it is indeed doable? Would the LOI in question have to be different from the one you apply for in order to get a visa in person at an Uzbek embassy?

Thank you, and apologies if this issue has been discussed here already.

From http://caravanistan.com/visa/uzbekistan

It is possible to get a visa on arrival in Uzbekistan, but only at the airport of Tashkent. Single or double entry is possible. There are several requirements though.

You need to have a letter of invitation
There is no Uzbek embassy in the country where you are coming from (where your airplane is coming from, not your country of residence)
When entering from a land border into Uzbekistan, visa on arrival is not possible.

That's the same loi as for other visas, yes.

Thank you for the reply! Do you know if an exception could be made in the case where I would not be spending enough time to get the visa processed in the country where I would be flying to Tashkent from? The plan is to fly to Astana, spend a couple of days there (no consulate there I think) and then continue on to Tashkent.

Rule: Only if there is no Uzbek embassy in the country where you are coming from (where your airplane is coming from, not your country of residence)

There is an Uzbek embassy in Kazakhstan. Clearly, you cannot get the visa on arrival in that case.

Ouzbékistan visa on arrival for French Citizen

Post by cec&co »

Hello,

We plan to come to Ouzbékistan in June. We are currently travelling around the word, and we will be in New Zealand before coming to Ouzbékistan.
We know that French Citizen must have a visa before arrival but, there is no Ouzbékistan ambassy in New Zealand. In this case, is it possible to get a visa on arrival?

Thanks a lot for your help!

There's a section under "visa types" on visa on arrival and the requirements.
