We are always guessing about the percentage of people who get rejected with their Turkmen transit visa. Let's get a bit more scientific about it. Please let us know if you got the transit visa or not, once we have enough answers, we will have a reliable statistic.

Kind of. Got one after multiple visits to embassy over a 10 day period. We'd applied for a date far in advance, so I assume nothing was done with the papers until I explained I had a flight leaving that day. In the end, it wasn't for the requested entry point written on the letter. With the flight leaving in 3 hours, there was no time to figure out a solution, so had the embassy cancel it (and got a refund). Here's what that looks like.

Interesting poll, but maybe there should be a third option 'did not apply for Turkmen visa to avoid the risk of being rejected'.

Not visa on arrival of course, but you can get it when transiting from Azerbaijan on the ferry, yes. Read caspian ferry and turkmen visa article carefully to find out more.

Yes, with no issues - we arrived to Turkmenbashy by ferry from Baku and left via Konye-Urgench to Uzbekistan. We got our 5 days transit visas in Berlin.

Transit visa is impossible in Paris: they refuse to consider our demand, only tourist visa ! (with the money to do it!)
