I just googled this question and a post from 7 Dec 24 says the KKH is now open all year round (but expect snow until May)

I did not see any updates around the closure on the weekend so this might still be in effect. Also, not everyone thinks it can stay open seeing the harsh weather conditions.

Some of the details in that report are incorrect, though, so I'm not sure how reliable it is.
