Day 01. Arrive Islamabad
Arrive Islamabad airport and transfer to hotel in Islamabad. Today we visit Taxila, an ancient Ghandaran city and an important Hindu and Buddhist centre of learning from the 6th century B.C to the 5th cent A.D. We visit the the remains of the Jaulian Monastery, ancient Sirkap, a city known to Alexander The Great and the Ghandhara Museum. For sometimes, Taxila it has been the centre of Buddhism, the world famous Gandhara sculpture and the center of learning and culture. For over one thousand years, Taxila remained famous as a centre of learning Gandhara art of sculpture, architecture, education and Buddhism in the days of Buddhist glory. There are over 50 archaeological sites scattered in a radius of 30 kms around Taxila. After visit Taxila return to Islamabad, overnight Hotel.
Day 02. Fly to Skardu and transfer to Shigar Fort residence
Fly to Skardu (subject to weather) On arrival at Skardu meet guide and driver and drive to Shigar Fort residence. In the afternoon day walk along irrigation channel.

Day 03. Drive to Khaplu
Today we drive to Khaplu another valley of Baltistan and stay in another old fort which was now converted into residence. Afternoon visit an old mosque Chaqchan mosque, and longest suspension bridge in Asia. Overnight Khaplu fort Residence chain of Serena Hotels. 2600m
Day 04. Drive to Skardu
Today we drive back to Skardu the main town of Baltistan and transfer to Shangrila Skardu. Enroute visit Sadpara lake. Overnight at Shangrila Skardu. 2200m
Day 05. Drive to Karimabad
Today will be a long day afterr breakfast and continue to Hunza via Gilgit along the Karakorum Highway which will take 7/8 hours. Overnight at Hunza Baltit Inn Serena Hotel. 8/10 hours, 2500m
Day 06. In Hunza/Day walk to Duikder and visit Baltit Fort
Hunza is located in the extreme north of Pakistan in Gilgit-Baltistan fortified by the giant mountain ranges of Karakorum, Himalayas, Hindu-kush and Pamirs through the Wakhan Corridor and further north neighbored by the heavenly mountains of Tianshan and Kunlunsun and historic city of Kashgar, the legendary land of Hunza is most majesticlly placed on the roof of the world. It falls on a junction of old silk Route, now replaced by the KKH, Karakorum Highway, the 8th wonder of the world, snaking into the people’s Republic of China through the Khunjerab Pass 4733M, between the Oxus and Indus. It is no doubt the SHANGRI LA, Heaven on earth.
Hunza had been an indpendent state till 1974, ruled by the king, “tham”. Known for its far crag mountains, glaciers, men made oasis and fairy lands and popular for bravery, hardwork, longevity, hospitality and distinct cultural heritage, the people of Hunza have kept their autonomy for centuries and championed the ideals of freedom, equality and peace in the region.
Morning day walk to Duiker below Ulter Peak (7388m). We start walking from our Hotel with elevation at 2500m and then passing the one street Karimabad bazaar we get to Baltit fort. We visit 800 years old Baltit fort before taking the trail to Duiker. The architure is clear indication of the Tibetan influence. This fort was built by the craftmen from Baltistan when the ruler of Hunza was married with princess of Baltistan who bought with her many Balti craftmen as part of her dowry to constuct this fort. Ganish Fort or watch towers are also worth to see, that has been restored too recently. The trail to Duiker begins just before Baltit Fort, following the water channel. Start of the trek is steep but compensate with lovely views down the valley as you go up. After ¾ hours we reach to Duiker at 3000m where we stay overnight. Duiker is the view points for the landscape, the highiest point of the valley that that gives magestic views of mountians and valleys. Overnight Eagle’s Nest Duiker.
Day 07. Drive to Minapin, Trek to Hapakun
Morning drive to for 1 hour, 35kms to Minapin. From Minapin 2000m, we strat walking to Hapakun 2700M (3 hours, 5.8 km and 700m Ascent) It takes maximum 3 hours to reach Hapakun (2700m) from Diran Guest house situated at Minapin village. Trek starts from the village along with a canal under shaded trees 15 minutes towards the Minapin River. The trail turns south into the canyon and crosses a footbridge over the river’s true left bank after 10 minutes. The trail continues through the juniper trees to a grassy-tiered meadow of Hapakun.From the meadow of Hapakun you can have a view of Hachindar and Maiun peaks above the Hunza
Day 08. Day excursion to Tagapari
Hapakun to Tagaphari 3300M (2-3 hours, 3km, 550m ascent). A steep trail continues from Hapakun to Tagaphari.The trail eases off and contours the rocky slope for 30 minutes to a verdant bowl where wildflowers and colorful songbirds thrive. Sweeping gently through the meadow, the trail enters scattered juniper stands and climbs switchbacks to the windy ridge top, where Diran, Rakaposhi and their interconnecting ice wall finally come into full view. The trail thins and traverses a rocky cliff above the spectacularly broken Minapin 15 minutes to Tagaphari (3261m) Taga means muddy and Phari means pool in Burushaski Languaege.From Tagaphari you can catch the sunset on Diran. Overnight in tents.
Day 09. Trek back to Minapin, drive to Gilgit
Trek back to Minapin (2/3hrs) and drive to Gilgit on arrival Gilgit transfer to Hotel Serena for overnight
Day 10 Fly to Islamabad
Morning you will transferred to Gilgit airport for flight to Islamabad (subject to weather). If flight cancelled drive a long journey along Karakorum Highway to Islamabad.
Day 11. In Islamabad if flown or arrive Islamabad if by road
In Islamabad if flown or arrive Islamabad by KKH if by road. Overnight Hotel.
Day 12. Transfer to airport
Transfer to airport for flight to onward destination.
