Mikhail has been working in the travel industry since 2013. When Covid hit he decided he had enough of hurrying big groups of Chinese tourists through the same-old sights. So he started his own boutique travel agency instead, with a focus on unique experiences and itineraries beyond the standard tourist trail.
Through cooperations with local historians, Mikhail fell in love with Central Asia’s archaeological treasures and rich history. Beyond showing places his team also focuses on providing additional experiences, like meetups or round tables with professional experts or interesting local people, who could provide insider’s views and additional stories.
Depending on your interests, this could be artisans, chefs, fashion designers, architects, artists, historians, rural cotton farmers or mountain-dwelling shepherd families.
As a natural perfectionist, he constantly checks quality in hotels and restaurants, making personal inspections twice a year. During the Covid lockdown period, many local service providers lost their service level, so it is necessary to inspect them in advance and provide advice for improvement.
Mikhail offers not only tailor-made tours but also works with small requests, such as organising transfers to remote areas, getting train tickets, or booking some hotels that are not listed on websites. All interesting and unusual requests will be managed in a very accurate way.
