Workshop

Together with local tour operators we have developed these workshops: cooking classes and crafts masterclasses to help you get hands-on experience with the heritage of the Silk Road.

Cooking classes focus on the Central Asian classics and involve a lot of tandoor baking, bazaar-hopping and big-pan frying. We are hoping to showcase some of the less familiar culinary traditions of the region in the near future as well.

Crafts you can learn more about include different types of needlework, weaving, the whole silk process from mulberry leaf to ikat scarf, ceramics, wood carving and metalwork.
