Another pearl in the Modernist crown of Tashkent, the circus of Tashkent builds on the tradition of other circus buildings in the region. The building is a splendid example of what Frédéric Chaubin has termed Soviet cosmic architecture.
The real fun however, happens inside! It’s a circus: only fun people are allowed! (boring people can be admitted if in the presence of children).
What exactly you will get to see depends on the performance, but expect clowns, acrobats, jugglers, strongmen and dazzling oriental beauties, tightrope walkers, the whole shebang!
