Re: Tajik somoni black market rates

In the begining of august, the rate around the Pamirs was 6,5 somoni to the dollar, and even the bank at Murghab was using such rate (although the currency converter apps would show something around 6,2). We heard of people getting from 6,7 to 7,1 somoni per euro. Also all the atms that were suppose...

Euros vs dollars in central asia

Are euros accepted or changed in central asia (Kazahkstan, Kyrgistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan) just like dollars?

I was wondering if bringing just euros should be enough or if I really should get some dollars as well.

While the Norwegian one was a bit more cautious and said that they are still waiting until the new regime comes into force before announcing something on their website. I guess that for us...

Re: Iran rial exchange rates

I was in Iran now from the 14th of May to 25th of May and my impression was that the rial is not fluctuating as much before. During the period the rate ranged from 1 euro to 37300 toman (multiply by 10 for rials) to 36400.

Do you by chance remember the opening times of the embassy?
Do they need to keep your passport?
