Hi all,
I'm considering whether to travel up to Nukus/the Aral Sea area around Muynak following a visit to Khiva. It's a long way to go to photograph the boats in that area (I'm a keen photographer) so I'm wondering whether others who have visited found it an amazing experience, underwhelming, or somewhere in between.
Thanks!

Re: Nukus/Aral Sea - worth it?
well...
400 usd for tlc (or similar 4x4 car, up to 4 persons) for 2 days and 1 night from nukus/khiva to moynak and the western bank of the aral sea (all local companies have the same price). usually meals not included.
worth it?
it depends.
personally, i visited aral three times but have never choosen that variant - 'coz usually i drive myself from home.

It depends of course, i went there on my way from Aktau, so from Kungrad, and it was worth, although nothing special, thats why me and my russian travel mate agreed, that from Nukus it wouldnt be....
