I'm in kyrgyzstan atm on a cycling tour to shanghai.
I was thinking to sell my bike after at the finish line. Anyone experience with selling used trekking bikes? I have koga randonneur (new 2600 euros, plan to sell for 1000-1300) or anyone has connections wth local communities?
Is there a demand for decent European trekking bikes in china or should I forget about this?

Re: Selling a decent used trekking bike in shanghai
Seeing how Chinese people abroad are willing to buy absolutely anything they can get their hands on, I would say, yes, there is a demand. Find local cycling communities through warmshowers is my suggestion. There must also be dedicated tour cycling shops in Shanghai.

Demand, yes. But demand for used, let alone slightly abused, gear?steven wrote:Seeing how Chinese people abroad are willing to buy absolutely anything they can get their hands on, I would say, yes, there is a demand.
