STANs are instant tour booking countries?

Dear Steven,

i am wondering is the Uzb, Kaz and Kyr are the places with plenty of agencies on the street and offer options that we can instantly book tours when we are there?
we dont have much time to do good research and two of us want to spend 16-20 Almaty (busy at getting the Uzb and Kyr visas) 20-25 in Kyr and 26-30 in Uzb. a giant tour is the least we want to do.

Tourism isn't huge and most people who visit these countries independently are budget travelers. So while you probably could arrange a tour quickly, it would be expensive since you would basically be the only people on that tour.

But you have very limited time in each place, and would seem—tour or not—to be limited to visiting only a few large cities, so I'm not sure what additional benefit being on a tour would give you.

In general, no, absolutely not. The only place where such a thing is possible (not guaranteed, possible) is Kochkor, to go to Song Kul or go for a horse ride.

Everywhere else, book in advance.
