Help needed: Donating a car to a nonprofit in Kyrgyzstan

Dear all, I've heard it's supposed to be possible to donate a car in Kyrgyzstan and that neither side needs to pay import tax when doing so. Is that true? If so, where can I find more informations about the process? Which office(s) do I need to interact with? Also, can I choose the nonprofit? (Ideal...

Re: Simcards for foreigners in Iran: Q&A

How recent is the last successful simcard registration for a foreigner you know of? I was successful at the end of october (26th or something like that) in ardabil. there's an irancell store close to basij square. it's a copy and computer shop, too, and should be around here: 38.229042, 48.272725 (...

Re: Kerman : Iran visa extension

thanks to asianrider's and waltereegho's description I also had a very smooth experience prolonging my visa in kerman. I don't really have anything to add. both the photographer and reza were competent, nice and efficient. it took us 1,5 hours in total, our visa was directly stamped after a 10 minut...

Re: Turkmenistan by car: mandatory GPS tracker questions

I have one more question actually :) will the route be given to me when entering the country, or can I tell them the route I want to take? (to make it more concrete: I will enter at the Bājgirān/Asgabat border and exit at the Kunja-Urgench border. Do I automatically have to take the road via Devreze...

Re: Turkmenistan by car: mandatory GPS tracker questions

Thanks a lot for the info, that's very helpful.
I don't know yet where exactly I would want to go off-route, I just find it hard to stick to one prescribed path when travelling which is why I wanted to check my options :)
