Well, a bigger danger right now might be to whomever hosts you on couchsurfing, as it's probably not the greatest time for locals to be hosting Westerners (especially given Germany's strong support of Israel).

I think you probably need to do some research on border crossings, visas, and permits for Tibet.

But (obviously) no tour company wants to let go of the fat bucks and provide juust the letter of invite. When you ask if you can do a 2-day trip to the Pamirs from Uzbekistan, it's pretty clear you didn't do basic research. Certainly not enough to get huffy when someone suggests you do basic research before asking a question.
