Hi everybody!
How easy is it to get a place to sleep in a Yurt when in Kochkor and in Song-Kul right when arriving there? Is it better to book something in advance (if yes, where is the best) or to arrive and then see because there is for sure opportunities?
Let us know! We'll be in Kyrgistan in June.
Thank you so much in advance.
Warm regards,
Jo

Kochkor is a small towns, many honestays, no yurt stays.
Not an issue to stay at a yurt camp at lake Song Kol.

Re: Accommodation in Kochkor + Song-Kul
Following the replies to this thread as well. I plan on kayaking in solo around Song-Kul for 3-4 days in mid-June. If I can leave my camping gear at home and just walk-in without prior reservation to a Yurt camp (local or commercial, I don't mind), that would be ideal. If anybody has experience, let us know! Thanks!

There are 1or 2 commercial yurt camps further along the lake, but I have stayed in a herders' camp where I was the only guest one night.
