How long did it take for you? Thank you!isma_t wrote: ↑Sun May 30, 2021 2:26 pmHi! In case anyone finds this info useful:
I crossed overland from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan at the Osh-Andijon border a couple of days ago. It went very smoothly and didn’t have any problems at all, on the kyrgz side it was a bit slower (As a tourist I could have jumped the queue but didn’t). They didn’t search me on either side , I had a PCR test with me but you can do it on the spot. Cheers!

I’m sorry you had to go through that and thanks for sharing! Really really appreciate! I guess Uzbekistan Airways gets to keep my outrageously expensive flight ticket money

From the moment the taxi left me till the moment I was looking for a taxi on the other side I would say just over an hour, 1.5 hours at most. Enjoy !

Re: Uzbekistan travel restrictions/reopening Q&A
Hello!
I am sorry to ask again the question. Maybe it is clear for everyone but not for me
I am French (so not on the list of 32 nationalities) (and I am vaccinated but I understood that this last point does not matter): can I cross the land border between Kirgizstan and Uzbekistan? I understand that Kirgizstan will not let me in but what about the other way: from Kirgisztan to Uzbekistan?
Thanks a lot for your patience !!!
Have a nice day.

Hi Yahyah, yes, you can. I rephrased what I wrote on the coronavirus page because I understood it was not clear. So here is what it says now:Yahyah wrote: ↑Sat Jun 05, 2021 9:03 amHello!

Coming from Kyrgyzstan, anyone with a PCR test can enter Uzbekistan through this border. Coming from Uzbekistan, only the following 32 nationalities can cross the Dostyk border.

Re: Uzbekistan travel restrictions/reopening Q&A
Hello gals and guys
I am a Swiss citizen interested in travelling to Uzbekistan in July / August for 30 days for tourism.
Judging from what you guys wrote about your own entry procedures in the recent months, the entry seems quite uncomplicated so far, but I want to go extra safe.
I am looking for information about the PCR test that you have to bring with you, but I have a bit trouble to find information online. Also my e-mails that I sent so far to the Uzbek administrative bodies (embassies, consulates, tourism boards, health department, ...) haven't been answered so far.
According to the famous Uzbekistan travel website foreign citizens need to bring a negative PCR test for Covid-19 in English or Russian, made within 72 hours before checking in for an airplane or train.
They also listed some certified laboraties of different countries on their "Sanepid" government website (currently down for some reason, but here is a site capture from Wayback machine), but they have not listed any Swiss laboratories.
Do you know if Swiss citizens can enter the country with a regular PCR test in English from any laboratory or institute?
Or are here other Swiss people here who recently entered the country by airplane (preferrably into Tashkent)?
Or maybe you know anything about this, isma_t and Wesley, since you also hold residence in Switzerland?
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Yes, that will be fine. Uzbeks want you to come. I haven't read anything about people not allowed in because their pcr test results were not valid.

Re: Uzbekistan travel restrictions/reopening Q&A
Hi guys,
we are a couple from Prague, Czech Republic and we would like to enter Uzbekistan via the Beyneu - Nukus road (hopefully by hitchhiking). Please, does anyone know if the border is opened for foreigners (I've read different information so far - it may be the case that the only way to get to Uzbekistan is via airport if we are not on THE list of 32 countries)? If yes, does the train on this route operate (it looks that no to me)?
Thanks a lot.

If you can entry because are in the categorie of above, is not allow go to Uzbekistan overland. Only if you got from Kyrgyztan and crossing Dostik border.
The 33 countries list is for entry overland in Kyrgiztan from Uzbekistan.
