Hi all,
I'm planning on travelling from Osh to Tashkent, and will have time for a one night stopover in the Fergana Valley. I'm considering Kokand or Fergana - while Fergana seems to be a better base for exploring the region, Kokand seems like a more picturesque and interesting city for a brief stop?

Could not have put it any more succinct
Nothing to see in Ferghana except for the bazaar. It's a good base to visit Margilan and Rishton. I can recommend Valentina as a good place to stay overnight for budget travelers.
Kokand has beautiful historical architecture. All the trees have been cut down, but the same is true in Ferghana, so you are going to sweat!
