Iran protests 2019: travel updates

I am in Bishkek and Next destination is Irán.
Now in Iran there are revolts over the rise in gasoline. One option is to go to Turkmenistan with a 5-day visa. Has anyone had trouble entering these last days?

We were there for the first week of protests, really it was fine except for the lack of internet and traffic jams

Our rule was ”don’t walk towards smoke”, still saw the aftermath of burnt out buses and banks. Which I took more pictures in hindsight
