Re: Iran coronavirus travel restrictions Q&A
You can now apply for regular tourist visas, the "urgent" option has been removed. I have applied with an agency a couple of days ago, so I will report as soon I get the grant notice. Hoping for pick-up in Yerevan.

We just applied for a grant notice via the governmental portal for the standaard tourist visa. We let you know what the result is. Hoping for pick-up in Trabzon

Re: Iran coronavirus travel restrictions Q&A
Several agencies posted issued visa grant notices on Facebook, so it seems the system is indeed back up and functioning like before. Mine has yet to come through though.
You might want to just cough up the 20 Euros and pay an agency. If the system works like it did back in 2019, you're unlikely to get approval for an embassy visa without an agency. It'll likely be stuck in limbo and then rejected (which is what would happen back in 2019).

Via agency is mandatory. FYI, cheaper options available than E20.uncle_sam01 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 30, 2021 11:41 pmSeveral agencies posted issued visa grant notices on Facebook, so it seems the system is indeed back up and functioning like before. Mine has yet to come through though.

We will just wait and see. If not processed before Thursday we will apply via an agent.

Our visa (via travel agency) has been approved today ! Pick up in Tashkent. Good luck !
Now starts the next step for us : trying to get a Turkmen transit visa... not sure that will be as successful, but let's give it a go.

No obligatory itenarery with pre payd reservations for the hotels via your agent? I had contact with two agents and they told me it is obligatory now......

None of these was required for us. Just the name of first hotel, I put a random hostel in Tehran, no booking required.
We picked it today, very smooth, 50 euro for 30 days, French passport.
