We are driving from Berlin to Mongolia with three entries into / out of Russia. We only have a double entry tourist visa and are looking at the best options for addressing the issues we'll have when we get to Mongolia to cross into Russia for flights home from Ulan Ude.
It has been suggested we should apply for a transit visa in Ulaanbaatar but I'd like to know if there are more "sensible" options for achieving the same result.
Would it make more sense to try for another double-entry tourist visa in Tashkent or Almaty and if so, does anyone have any experience of that process.
