Tashkend to Khujand in one day?

Hello,

is it possible to visit Khujand from Tashkend and return the base, Tashkend in the same day?

According to some sources there is a bus from Tashkend 8:00 AM. And return is18:00 from Khujand. But it's not confirmed.

Or second way is hiring taxi. But i have no idea that how much it will cost?

Is there anybody who knows the reality and possibility?

This post mentioned a day trip from Samarkand to Tajikistan, so border-wise a day trip should work.
As for a day trip Tashkent-Khujand-Tashkent, doing both ways by bus won't be worth it, so I'd suggest to do the return leg by taxi.

You should budget 2x10 dollars per person, around TJS 80-100 for the ride from Khujand to the Oybek border and around UZS 100'000 for the taxi from the border to Tashkent, assuming shared rides.

Finding a taxi to the border in Khujand shouldn't be a problem, there are always taxis waiting at Somoni Avenue and near the Panjshanbe bazaar, but you'll need to pay for the whole car (TJS 400) if you don't want to do a detour via the bus terminal to pick up other passengers, same applies for the Uzbek side if you don't want to wait for the car to fill up.

As for finding a taxi from Tashkent to the Oybek border, you might want to ask your accommodation if they can arrange something for you, , you can also try your luck with Yandex Taxi or negotiating at taxi ranks.
